Welcome to Susan Jean Ricci's Website
While you're here, please feed my fish.
I'm a Pisces and they're my wee cousins a few times removed
Thanks so much for checking in, it's a pleasure to meet you!
I was selected as Indie of the Month for August this past summer, which was one of my proudest moments in my short career as an Indie author so far.
Now I have more great news to share!
Last week, I joined the Annie Acorn Publishing family and I will be writing several Christmas stories for her ever-so popular company!
The first, A Super Sandy Christmas will go live this week just in
time for The Holidays!

Today I took a little road trip via Terri Giuliano Long and we're having

Dinosaurs & Cherry Stems, my humorous, contemporary romance, is still making the rounds via Amazon, Smashwords, B&N, Kobo, ITunes, etc. This book is the first in the series, Cindy's Crusades, and was also selected as a Semi-Finalist for The Kindle Book Reviews 2013, Best Indie Book Awards. I'm so proud to have made it that far.
The sequel to Dinosaurs & Cherry Stems, The Sugar Ticket, has now launched and is currently available on Amazon. Please hop over to The Sugar Ticket section off my webpage, up there ^^ on the tab bar, and click on the new cover!
I have another work in progress as well, Slick Trespass, a contemporary novel about a married couple's struggles with physical and mental illness, which I'm hoping to launch in 2014, in addition to book 3 of the Cindy's Crusades series.
My commentaries have been published in local newspapers for many years and my nonfiction articles have found homes in Parenting Teens Magazine, AIM Intercultural Magazine, and Good Dog Magazine. Several of my short stories have also been published on the Internet.
The writing bug's been in my blood since I was twelve when I began the Hill Weekly, my neighborhood newspaper...it sold for a dime an issue. Little did I know a newspaper located just a bit east from here would steal my idea and become a nationally known gossip rag!
I've won several awards for my writing via the Writer's Digest 78th Annual Writer's Contest and the Philadelphia Writer's Conference, June 2011.
Please feel free to share your comments here or on my blog page if the spirit moves you.

Twice divorced, cynical Cindy Layton feels like a relic with prehistoric baggage, and doubts she can muster the courage to establish a new relationship, even if it's on her own terms.
Her journey out of the Stone Age hits freaky, hilarious turbulence when she joins an Internet dating service. The scammers and weirdoes she meets in cyberspace make Cindy want to crawl back into her cave, until she receives an accidental email from Jay DeMatteo.
Jay has the dating blues, too, but after meeting Cindy, reconsiders his options. Now it's up to him to convince her it's never too late to pursue a meaningful relationship, even when there's baggage.
Can Cindy and Jay navigate the maze of midlife adolescence to reach each other's hearts?
The answers are revealed in Dinosaurs and Cherry Stems...so fasten your seatbelts, there's a bumpy ride ahead!
One of my latest five star reviews: "Dinosaurs and Cherry Stems is without a doubt one of the best books I've ever read - bar none, and if you saw the 30+ bookcases in my home, you would know that I'm a voracious reader. Ms. Ricci has provided the reader with a full gamut of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I was entertained, and I have since shared the experience with anyone who would listen. As an internationally known author myself, I can attest to the fact that both the writing and the editing are superb, but the author has gone even further by adding to the mix her spot-on understanding of the human condition. I want my own clone of her hero, and I want to be her heroine. It doesn't get any better than this." via International Best Seller, Annie Acorn.
By the way, a simple click on the book cover will take you over to Amazon land.
