As my photo suggests, I'm finally  stepping out of the box. Here's why:

    My 2015 New Year’s Resolution:

Getting in the moment regarding my website has been  challenging for a long time. I’ve neglected the poor thing so badly, it’s no wonder why I don’t get many visitors – however, plans are in place to rectify this. Yes, you've guess it - I've hired my Muse to take over my posts! About time, right?

    My writing goals for 2015:

So far 2015 has begun very well for me. I’m proud to announce my publisher Annie Acorn asked me to become one of her affiliated authors over at Annie Acorn Publishing, LLC. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of her organization and do we have a lot already in place for the coming year!

For starters, I’m participating in a Valentine’s Day Anthology with the Annie Acorn Nation with A Valentine’s Day to Remember, my short story that’s nearly ready to be released.

Several of my short stories will be included in Annie Acorn’s Christmas Treasury 2015. In case you missed the 2014 Treasury, it’s still available on Amazon, B&N, Kobo, and ITunes.  The talented authors included in the mix are Annie Acorn, Juliette Hill, Angel Nichols, and Charlotte Kent.

Right now I’m penning a long/short story called My Sexy Chef. Hope you'll enjoy reading this snazzy little piece as much as I'm enjoying writing it! This is one of the hottest tales I've penned yet!

Winter and Full Steam Ahead to Spring:

The sequel to Dinosaurs & Cherry Stems and Book Two in the Cindy’s Crusades Series is called The Sugar Ticket. Currently available on Amazon, B&N, ITunes/Apple, and Kobo.

My short stories can be found to the left, and I'll be adding A Valentines Day to Remember to the mix very soon! If you click on the books, a magic wand will take you over to Amazon for a preview of each story!

Anyway, it’s already been a busy year! My second work in progress will be taking me out of fiction and into real life – sharing my experiences as an older sibling to a handicapped brother.  Title TBA and launching later this year. Then back to fiction and humor with Book Three in the Cindy’s Crusades series, title TBA.

My commentaries have been published in local newspapers for many years and my nonfiction articles have found homes in Parenting Teens Magazine, AIM Intercultural Magazine, and Good Dog Magazine. Several of my short stories have also been published on the Internet.

I've won several awards for my writing via the Writer's Digest 78th Annual Writer's Contest and the Philadelphia Writer's Conference, June 2011.

 5.0 out of 5 stars

From the first page, "Two Miracles for Christmas" had me grinning. The main character, Cindy, is vulnerable, making her someone we can all relate to, but she’s earnest, and out to conquer the world, one mishap at a time. On her trip west to visit family for Christmas, she and her adoring husband, Jay, are beset with misadventures galore! But Cindy is up to the challenge, and she’s the perfect character to prove that real miracles, the ones around us every day, spring from courage and love. A delightful, heartwarming read!

Blurb for Dinosaurs & Cherry Stems:

Twice divorced, cynical Cindy Layton feels like a relic with prehistoric baggage, and doubts she canmuster the courage to establish a new relationship, even if it's on her own terms.

Her journey out of the Stone Age hits freaky, hilarious turbulence when she joins an Internet dating service.  The scammers and weirdoes she meets in cyberspace make Cindy want to crawl back into her cave, until she receives an accidental email from Jay DeMatteo.

Jay has the dating blues, too, but after meeting Cindy, reconsiders his options.  Now it's up to him to convince her it's never too late to pursue a meaningful relationship, even when there's baggage.

Can Cindy and Jay navigate the maze of midlife adolescence to reach each other's hearts?

The answers are revealed in Dinosaurs and Cherry Stems...so fasten your seatbelts, there's a bumpy ride ahead!

One of my five star reviews:  "Dinosaurs and Cherry Stems is without a doubt one of the best books I've ever read - bar none, and if you saw the 30+ bookcases in my home, you would know that I'm a voracious reader. Ms. Ricci has provided the reader with a full gamut of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I was entertained, and I have since shared the experience with anyone who would listen. As an internationally known author myself, I can attest to the fact that both the writing and the editing are superb, but the author has gone even further by adding to the mix her spot-on understanding of the human condition. I want my own clone of her hero, and I want to be her heroine. It doesn't get any better than this."  via the Internationally Read, Annie Acorn.
